Imagoras - Die Rückkehr der Bilder

Description

Work together with Flux to free the artworks of the Staedel museum from a dark force.

Winner of the Goldene GIGA-Maus as best program in 2015.

After finishing my work on the Ancient Labyrinth DLC I began to work on “Imagoras – Die Rückkehr der Bilder”, an adventure game for mobile devices, where the player has to solve problems in paintings that are part of the Staedel museum’s collection. As most of the overall design was already decided when I joined the project, I focused myself on the implementation of the levels in Unity.

To set up the levels I worked with premade scripts from the programmers that allowed me to set up the game logic with actions like “Speak Line” or “Give Item” and connected them via an event system. In the end, I was responsible for setting up four of the six levels in the game and also did major revisions of every level. My work included the creation of rather complex systems without extra coding, the setup of the level logic, the speedup of interactions and the standardization of existing scripting logic. I also prototyped most of the mini games and implemented some of them together with the help of a programmer.

Besides, I took part in the design discussions that occurred during the development and proposed several ideas for better suiting our gameplay to the target audience and solving problems in the puzzle design of the levels.
