Description

Use the available objects, light sources and, most importantly, your mind to manipulate the shadow world to allow your other self to reach the key in every level.

The development process of this game was pretty interesting. It was created during a course at our university. I teamed up with six other people of whom only one other person was really interested in games. I got the role of the team leader and proposed three ideas. Though the idea about shadow manipulation was the vaguest and my least favorite, my team voted for it and forced me to come up with a concept, which was a pretty interesting challenge.

I settled on the idea of having two separate, but connected worlds. While you are trying to manipulate the shadows in the normal, isometric world, you have to use the available shadows in the side-scrolling world to progress through the levels.

While another student was responsible for a major part of the code, I did the game and level design and contributed to the overall programming. The rest of the team was responsible for art, story and sound.
